In 2011, we were affected by the drought, but still had a good year. We didn't have the size of antlers we'd like to have had, due to the drought, but we did harvest some great animals.

The three archery elk hunters had unusually hot and dry conditions. This accompanied by a full moon made the hunt very tough. The elk just did not rut in their normal time frame. One of the hunters missed two shots at a great bull and the other two never got the chance to release the string. We were seeing bulls every day, but they were going to bed early and coming out late. We did see a tremendous 380-class bull .

We had one rifle antelope hunter and one archery antelope hunter, and both took good bucks, with one buck scoring 78 inches and it was a beautifully shaped buck. We also had a youth antelope hunter who harvested his first antelope, a nice doe.

All of our rifle elk hunters either filled their tags or had the opportunity to fill their tags. We did harvest a great 310 class bull in NM on the first hunt, a huge 330 class bull in the November hunts, and a 320 class bull in CO.

We had three deer hunters in CO and all three harvested world class bucks. The best buck was a giant, 34 inch wide buck, which scored in the 190's. The other two were in the 180 inch class.

Hope to see you here in 2012!
